From there, you can choose a kart class based on your age and skill level, get your licence, and gear up with safety equipment. It’s fun, fast, and a great way to meet other racing enthusiasts. If you’ve ever been curious about karting, there’s no better place to begin than at the Southern Tasmanian Kart Club (STKC). Whether you're looking to get your kids into motorsport or thinking of jumping behind the wheel yourself, visiting the track is the first step. At STKC, we welcome visitors of all ages to come along and experience the excitement firsthand. Join us on a race day to see the action up close or take part in a Come & Try Day, where you can hop in a kart and get a real feel for the sport in a safe, supportive environment. Our members are always happy to chat, answer questions, and share advice on how to get started — from choosing the right class and kart, to getting your licence and safety gear. No experience? No problem. Everyone starts somewhere, and STKC is the perfect place to learn, grow, and have a whole lot of fun doing it.

Ever wondered what it’s like to drive a real race kart? Our Come & Try Days are the perfect way to experience the thrill of karting – no experience or equipment needed! Held at the Southern Tasmanian Kart Club (STKC), these sessions give you the chance to hop in a kart, hit the track, and see what all the excitement is about. It’s a safe, supervised, and fun introduction to the sport for kids and adults alike. Our friendly team will guide you through the basics, supply all the gear you need, and help you feel confident behind the wheel. Whether you're looking for a new hobby or just a fun day out, Come & Try Days are the best way to get started. Spots are limited, so keep an eye on our socials or get in touch to book your place!
